THE HANDMADE PROCESS
This classic earring style is handcrafted personally by artist Lisa Ramos in her Clayton, California studio. Lisa’s design philosophy is focused on creating high quality jewelry pieces you can wear for years to come.
What makes a MONOLISA jewelry piece unique? Each earring jacket is one of a kind and not casted for mass production. The handmade design is an extensive process of sawing metal pieces, hand sculpting, soldering, hammering, texturing, sanding, buffing, multiple hours of heat hardening the Argentium silver to increase tarnish resistance properties, stone setting, and polishing. MONOLISA pieces are not mass produced or sold in retail stores and can only be purchased on this website or at a show. The MONOLISA Jewelry Collection has been featured at fine art juried shows in California.
What Is Argentium® Silver?
Argentium® silver is a premium silver alloy that is more pure than traditional sterling silver. Earlier Argentium® silver formulations contained 93.6% pure silver, and in 2024 the alloy was updated to 94% purity.
California artist Lisa Ramos uses Argentium® silver in select MONOLISA handmade jewelry designs because of its durability, brightness, tarnish resistance, and refined appearance.
Argentium® silver is also valued for being hypoallergenic. The Argentium® silver used in MONOLISA designs is made in the USA and ethically sourced.

I fell in love with the creative process because of the unlimited possibilities.
